Anyone catching anything in Deer Point lately?I've went often last couple of weeks and just cannot get them located. Fishing deep channels and shallow flats. The few bites I get are half heartedly. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions I'm thinking about heading out there the next couple days after work and would like to land a couple. To bad Seminole isnt just down the road for after work fixes. Thanks for any input. Jeff

That's Deerpoint. The last Shoot-out, we had no fish and around 7:30 pulled up to one spot and my first cast was one over 6.5 lbs and my partners first cast was a 4 pounder and in the next 15 min got 3 more for a total of 14 lbs. If you have not tried flipping may I suggest you try. Put on a 1oz to 1.25 oz bullet weight, find THICK cover and go to it. You may not get but one bite an hour but generally you will catch some if you give it enough time. Good luck!
