Went to Lake Seminole to fish the Fish for the Money Bass Trail on Feb 21st. Take-off was 29 deg and at 80 MPH in Allen Duke's Blazer no tellin what the wind chill was. Right before we got close to our spot there was a solid wall of fog. So once we stopped and started idleing, in the fog we were not sure that we new exactly where we were. Anyway, after several minute we finally made it to our area. It was probably 30 min or more before anyone else made it in there. They were probably lost as well. We stayed there until noon throwing Rattle Traps and Giant Worms, had a good limit but no kicker and decided to go to another spot and do some flippin where a couple days befroe Allen D. had some good ones includung one over 10 lbs. After a little more than a hour, we had 6 flippin bites, 3 hooked up and none in the boat (that's part of flipping) we decided to go back where we started and finish out the day. Started catching more right off the bat, but still needed that kicker. With less than an hour left I told Allen D. get the net, it's her. Probably a little over 5 pounds. Not as big as the week before but would have to do, time was up. We had a great bag at almost 21 pounds, but was only good enough for 3rd place. This time of the year at Seminole 20 pound bags are very common. It took over 24 pounds to win and 23+ pounds was 2nd. Had a great time anyway. Now back to Deerpoint and the River for the next couple of weeks where 10 - 12 pounds will be a good bag.

Thanks jsc, there has been a lot of pressure in that area. But I believe they will keep coming in for the next month or a least until the Florida Bass Federation Qualifier at the end of March.

One thing I forgot to mention is that in the last two tournaments in that area I also caught several Crappie in the 2 - 3 pound class on the Rattle Trap. Those were some of the biggest Crappie I have ever seen.
