Tomorrow everyone might as well call it ice fishing. We have Consolidated Bassmasters, River Delta Bass Buster & Gulf Coast Bass Anglers holding there club tournys and Sunday, Miracle Strip Bass Club. And also on Sunday, American Bass Anglers at Lake Seminole. I will be curious to here some reports from the tournaments. Two years ago in January, Consolidated held there tournament at the End of the Road Landing and at take-off it was 24 deg. But boy did the fish eat crank baits. Everyone caught em'. I had 13 + and came in 6th or 7th. Hopfully it will be that way this weekend, but I doubt it. If you in one of these clubs post let's hear about it.

I fished the River Delta club tournament today and won the tournament with 11.5 pounds the fish bit good early then slacked off during the day. I had my limit by 9:45am. caught the majority of my fish on soft plastics though. Lloyd Alford Jr. came in second with 9.4 pounds.
my fish bit all day probablly caught 20 just couldnt find the kicker all on crankbait fished slow. i scrapped out 6.10 but the best part is my dad fished with me and beat me from the back of the boat with 6.14 . great day of fishing with my dad.

It was 28 deg when we took of for the Consolidated Bassmasters tourny. I had a game plan but when I saw the canal was SUPER LOW I changed my plans. Last month when it was that way The crank bait was on fire. So I started in the canal. After an hour and a half with no bites headed to CWB. The tide was so low you could not even get close enough to the trees to make a cast (that's low). Messed around, back to the canal, still no bites. Time to head to the flats. After an hour, had a limit, culled a couple, all on a weighted Senko. Back to the canel again, not a bite again. Ran in to Steve McLemore who had been in the canal all day he had one keeper. Matt Smith won it last month with 15+ from the canal and he had stayed in their all day again this tournament and won this one with 14.00. He's got it figured out or has the right bait.
