Does anyone know the status of the Abercrombie launch? I had heard there were some legal issues as well as it was under construction.

Yes, talked to local realestate office in Apalachicola. They did say that there are some issues with the property, but did not want to speculate on the outcome. Suggest if you plan on using the boat ramp, you may want to contact some locals for more info before you take the trip down there. We also heard about repairs to ramp and parking area, but I think it is under water for now?

I havent heard of any legal issues , and the project would be complete by now if not for the high water . they added another dbl ramp and handicap parking also installed additional designated parking . Our club is planning to construct a weigh station like white citys' only smaller funded by club members and local merchants , with approval from co. comm. Along with the project are some likes and dis likes but Im sure they will work themselves out in time . be sure you have your handicap sticker if you use that spot and dont block the ramp as these are 2 of the things they will be inforcing. Ive been in close communication w/ 1 of the commisioners since project started and I will report back here on the legal issues and completion date , as for now the ramp is open for public use just be sure to bring your snorkle :D
