You're no the only one to mention this.

The entry fee is $80 per boat so that would of made the payout $1440, then they keep 10% to pay back at the classic, so the payout was right at $1,300. I believe the $80 includes $10 big bass pot (let me know if that's not true), if that's true the payout would have been around $1,150.

On the 18 boats paying 2 places. They advertise paying 1/7. That's 1 place for every 7 boats that fish. In February when I came in 3rd with 18 boats as well and did not get in the money, that's when I realized something was not right. They paid 2 places which would have made it 1 place for every 9 boats which is not good. This past tournament I talked to James and Kenny and asked them what they were paying and they said 1/7. They showed me there payout schedule and I showed them they were paying 1/9. They honestly thought they were paying 1/7 and said that next season it would be changed.

At 1/7, on your 8th boat through 14 boats you would pay 2 places, on your 15th boat thru 21 boats you would pay 3 places and your 22nd boat, 4 places and so on.....

I was hoping that I would get a constructive response and I did. Thank you. I know that there are rumblings amongst the locals that have supported this tourney that something just isn't right about the numbers and there is nothing worse than supporting a tourney and feeling cheated. This tourney will be replaced by a new trail with a better following and better payout in the near future because change has been promised for sometime now regarding payouts and nothing has changed.

BTW....The majority of tournaments, meaning almost all of em are 1 to 5 payout. For a tournament that has had a dwindling field for sometime now, it seems adjustments would have been made to fix this. I'm interested to see just how much is paid out for the Classic, since all I've heard is that the money kept goes to the Classic...Best of Luck to everyone.

I agree and was wondering when this was going to get addressed, if they dont start changing the pay out percentage there wont be any boaters left to pay out. its pretty silly to only pay out the top two, its great if you do win but if you come in third you are out!

Can anyone post an accurate payback for the winter trail i.e.

% of pay back
% of money applied to classic fund
pay back ratio
classic payback

I love this trail and the founders are great guys but I think these are some question that need to be answered to clear all air and allow the upcoming season to run smoothly :D

Like I said earlier they said they would change the payback schedule for this year. I may call and remind them. They advertise paying back 1 place per 7 boats as well as paying back 89% of the entry fees each tournament. I pretty sure they don't keep anything for there efforts, which would be ok if they did. It's a pain sometimes running tournaments. So the rest 11%, would go back to the classic (less expenses, if any). The next time I see any of them I'll check these figures.
